Chattanooga Food and Dining Guide
Four local restaurants earned spots in the 2025 Michelin Guide American South while classic spots and new openings keep the scene moving.
How we reported this
Four Chattanooga restaurants earned recognition in the 2025 Michelin Guide American South. Easy Bistro, Main Street Meats, Little Coyote and The Rosecomb appear on the list released this year.
The recognition highlights a steady mix of fine dining and longtime neighborhood spots that draw both residents and visitors. Chattanooga continues to support places that range from farm-to-table concepts to family-run counters serving the same dishes for decades.
Fine Dining and Newer Additions
Whitebird serves Appalachian farm-to-table dishes inside The Edwin. Alleia offers rustic Italian fare on the Southside. Public House, STIR and Bridgeman's Chophouse round out several fine dining choices cited in local guides. Ernest Chinese now occupies the former Flying Squirrel location on the Southside.
Taqueria Jalisco operates at Miller Plaza and a Southside site with tacos and burritos. The restaurant closes on Sundays and Mondays. Community Pie, Fiamma and Southside Pizza anchor the local pizza options.
Breakfast Spots and Longtime Favorites
Bluegrass Grill on Main Street draws weekend lines for diner breakfast. Niedlov’s Breadworks supplies organic baked goods. Big Bad Breakfast and Milk & Honey on the Northside, which stays open seven days, add more morning options.
Bea’s Restaurant provides Southern family dining and closes on Mondays. Dub’s Place has served crumble burgers since the 1950s. Champy’s specializes in fried chicken and Tony’s Pasta Shop makes pasta by hand.
Mac’s remains temporarily closed while planning a new location. Diners can check current hours and reservations directly through the restaurants or the Visit Chattanooga site at visitchattanooga.com/restaurants/ before heading out.
